Featured projects Interborough Express The Interborough Express is a rapid transit project that would connect underserved areas of Brooklyn and Queens. It would substantially cut down on travel times between the two boroughs, reduce congestion, and expand economic opportunities in New York. Station accessibility projects As part of our long-term commitment to systemwide accessibility, we are investing nearly $6 billion in station accessibility in the 2020-2024 Capital Program, to make 70 stations newly ADA accessible and modernize an additional 78 subway elevators. Penn Station Access The MTA will create an extension of Metro-North Railroad‘s New Haven Line to reach Penn Station. This will create four new accessible stations, improve existing tracks and bridges, and will cut travel times from the Bronx to Manhattan by as much as 50 minutes. Queens Bus Network Redesign The Queens Bus Network Redesign is part of a larger effort to improve bus service borough by borough. We are taking a fresh look at the bus network, with the goal of meeting customers’ priorities: more reliable service, faster travel, better connections, and ease of use.
