Lisa Sorin is the president of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, serving as its first female president. Sorin currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for various organizations including the Chamber Alliance of NY State, NY State Choice Savings Program, and the Bronx Council of the Arts. She serves on the New York City Districting Commission. and is an active member of the New York City COVID-19 Recovery Roundtable and Health Equity Task Force.
Prior to her appointment to the Bronx Chamber, Sorin served as Executive Director of Westchester Square Business Improvement District for six years. As the BID Director, she was responsible for economic and community development, program planning, fundraising, and fiscal management. She has passionately contributed to making a difference in the borough of the Bronx by investing her time, energy, and expertise in raising funds and promoting youth programming and education.
For the past 20 years, she has held various positions on Community Board 2, Bronx YMCA, Red Cross, Casita Maria Center for the Arts and Education, VISIONS, and the Bronx Children’s Museum.
Sorin received her master’s degree in Business Leadership and bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Concordia College.
