About the route

The proposed Q28 Rush runs westbound to Flushing and eastbound to Bay Terrace.

The proposed length of the Q28 Rush route is 4.8 miles.

In the existing route, the average stop spacing is 719 feet. Under the proposed route, that would increase to 977 feet.

The route would include connections to the Q12, Q13, Q15, Q16, Q17, Q31, Q61, and Q76. It would also connect to the  train and Long Island Rail Road.

Route Improvements

  • Improved stop spacing

Review the Q28 route summary

The proposed Q28 would maintain its existing routing. To match stop spacing on other local and limited-stop portions of Rush routes, Q28 stops along Corporal Kennedy St, 32 Av, Francis Lewis Blvd, and Crocheron Av would be spaced slightly further apart than existing, while stops along Northern Blvd would be located at key destinations and major transfer points. For riders who need to get on or off on Northern Blvd, the proposed Q12 would provide frequent service along the corridor.

Frequencies at select time periods would be slightly adjusted. Service would continue to operate 24 hours.
