Nearly 20,000 items are turned into Metro-North's Lost & Found Facility every year. We have established a Lost and Found process that is designed to recover and return as many items as possible to our customers. This process involves several steps that must take place, and requires your cooperation and patience. Unfortunately, while we do our best, not all items are recovered and turned into the Lost & Found.
If you have lost an item, the first step in the recovery process is to review the Lost and Found FAQs. The second step is to complete an electronic Lost Property Customer Inquiry Form.

- Metro-North employees are not permitted to disrupt train radio communication.
- Customers are not permitted in non-public areas on Metro-North property.
