Service changes on the Franklin Av Shuttle in summer 2024

There will be major service changes on the Franklin Av Shuttle in Summer 2024 while we replace the St Marks Av Bridge. Here's what you need to know.

What we’re doing

On the weekends of July 5-8, August 9-12, August 16-19, and August 30-September 3, Franklin Av Shuttle  trains won’t run.

From July 8 to August 9, Franklin Av Shuttle  trains won’t run between Franklin Av  and Park Place.

Why we’re doing it

We’re replacing the St Marks Av Bridge, which carries Franklin Av Shuttle  trains between St Marks Av and Prospect Pl, just north of the Park Place station. The bridge has reached the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced.

Service changes

  • On weekends from July 5-8, August 9-12, August 16-19, and August 30-September 3, Franklin Av Shuttle  trains won’t run.
    • Free shuttle buses will run between Franklin Av  and Prospect Park , making all Franklin Av Shuttle  stops.
    • When exiting the subway at Franklin Av , Franklin Av-Medgar Evers College  (Botanic Garden), or Prospect Park , get a GO Ticket from a station agent for re-entry.
  • From July 8 to August 9, Franklin Av Shuttle  trains won’t run between Franklin Av  and Park Place in either direction.
    • Free B101 shuttle buses will run between Franklin Av  and Park Place.
    • Re-enter the subway with OMNY or MetroCard at Franklin Av  or Park Place.
    • Franklin Av Shuttle  trains will run between Park Place and Prospect Park .
