September 25-26, October 2-3, 9-10 & 16-17: Buses Replace Weekend Trains at Rosedale, Laurelton & Locust Manor

West Hempstead Branch Trains Extended to Jamaica
Updated September 16, 2021 2:50 p.m.

On the weekends of September 25-26 and October 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, we will be modernizing our track infrastructure by installing new, longer-lasting concrete ties on a busy portion of track between Jamaica and Valley Stream. See below for how this may affect your travel plans.

Rosedale, Laurelton, and Locust Manor Customers: Buses Replace Trains
On Saturday and Sunday, and continuing until 4 a.m. Monday on each of the four weekends, all trains will bypass Locust Manor, Laurelton, and Rosedale. Buses will be provided, stopping at the three stations as well as Jamaica and Valley Stream. Buses will depart up to 45 minutes earlier than usual train times. Connect with train service to/from Penn Station/Atlantic Terminal at Jamaica, and Far Rockway/Long Beach at Valley Stream.

West Hempstead Branch: Trains Extended to Jamaica
From 6:30 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and Sunday, West Hempstead Branch trains will be extended to Jamaica and will not stop at Valley Stream. Change at Jamaica for service to/from Penn Station or Atlantic Terminal.
