Port Jervis Line, Emergency Substitute Busing, Mon. Aug. 9

Port Jervis customers,

Due to emergency bridge work east of Harriman by the New York State Thruway Authority, substitute bus service will be provided between Port Jervis and Ramsey/Rte. 17 on Monday, August 9.

Buses will replace Port Jervis Line trains between Port Jervis and Ramsey/Rte. 17 as follows:

Inbound to Hoboken/NY Penn Station

Substitute busing will be provided starting with the Monday 3:46 a.m. train from Port Jervis.

Buses will depart stations 10-20 minutes earlier than the scheduled train time and travel to Ramsey/Rte. 17, where customers will transfer to trains.

Note: There will be no bus service to and from Otisville and Salisbury Mills stations. Customers should go to the closest available station for shuttle bus service to the train at Ramsey/Rte. 17.

Outbound to Port Jervis

Substitute busing will be provided on Monday starting with the 9:15 a.m. departing from Ramsey/Rte. 17.

Outbound buses will depart Ramsey/Rte. 17 approximately five minutes after the connecting train arrives.

For full schedule details, please refer to the PDF. If your train does not have a connecting bus indicated on the schedule, please note that additional buses will be provided between scheduled buses to provide service for trains that do not have assigned/ scheduled bus departures from Ramsey/Rte. 17.

During this time, tickets will be cross-honored on the Metro-North Railroad Hudson Line. Parking is available only at Beacon and Irvington Stations at this time.  See the Hudson Line schedule here (PDF or look-up). 

Alternatively, customers who wish to use the train service only on NJ Transit can travel to Ramsey/Rte. 17 or Suffern for train service. Please check the NJ Transit website for details.
