Metro-North service changes starting April 7, 2024

New schedules take effect on the Harlem, Hudson, and New Haven lines.
Updated April 5, 2024 11:00 a.m.

New schedules will go into effect on all three Metro-North East of Hudson lines on April 7, 2024.

The major switch replacement project near Grand Central that began in mid-January has been completed. The trains that were removed have been restored, and the added stops have been removed. Note that some of these changes will remain on Fridays (see below).

Many departure times, both peak and off-peak, have moved a few minutes earlier or later to accommodate multiple infrastructure improvement projects throughout our system and to improve reliability. All riders should check the new schedules or use our TrainTime app to see if their trip will change.

Friday-only service changes

On Fridays, some rush-hour trains on the Harlem and Hudson lines will no longer run as we continue to match our service to your riding patterns. Instead, an additional Friday-only midday round trip has been added on each line. These changes are similar to the ones that began on the New Haven Line last fall.
