June 19: Buses Substitute for Trains Between Port Washington and Bayside

Port Washington Branch Service Change

From 1 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, June 19, Port Washington Branch service will be reduced from half-hourly to hourly, and buses will substitute for trains between Port Washington and Bayside, while a track-testing program to ensure rail safety is performed.

Westbound customers: Board buses/vans at stations Port Washington through Douglaston; exit at Bayside and transfer for train service to points west. Buses/vans will depart up to 40 minutes earlier than usual train times.

Eastbound customers: Exit at Bayside and transfer to buses/vans for service to stations Douglaston to Port Washington. Please plan for up to 40 minutes of additional travel time.
