July 6 - August 29: New Timetables on Port Washington Branch

Starting Tuesday, July 6, and continuing through Sunday, August 29, new timetables will go into effect on the Port Washington Branch as LIRR forces resume concrete tie installation work.  With one track out of service on the branch between Bayside and Great Neck, midday, late-night, and weekend service will be reduced to hourly, and there will be changes to rush-hour service as well. Key service changes follow:

  • Customers at Douglaston, Little Neck and Great Neck will board/exit all trains from the eastbound platform (Platform B).
  • The 6:45 a.m. train from Port Washington to Penn Station will depart 6 minutes earlier, at 6:39 a.m.
  • The 8:18 a.m. train from Port Washington to Penn Station will depart 1 minute earlier, at 8:17 a.m.
  • The 4:43 p.m. train from Penn Station to Port Washington will depart 3 minutes earlier, at 4:40 p.m..

  • The 5:26 p.m. train from Penn Station to Port Washington will departs 6 minutes earlier, at 5:20 p.m..

  • The 8:19 p.m. train from Penn Station to Port Washington will depart 1 minute earlier, at 8:18 p.m..
