The New Fairfield-Southeast Shuttle is a weekday rush-hour bus service operated by HARTransit between the Southeast Metro-North station and several park and ride lots in the New Fairfield area. There is no service on Saturday or Sunday. Buses are timed to connect at Southeast with Metro-North trains to and from Grand Central.

Fares
Bus and rail fares
Regular HARTransit fares and passes apply on the bus. The adult one-way bus fare is $1.75, payable in exact change to the bus operator. Seniors (65 or older), people with disabilities, and Medicare recipients pay 85 cents if they show appropriate ID.
For travel between Southeast and Grand Central, a one-way ticket costs $20.75 on peak trains and $15.25 on off-peak trains. A monthly rail-only ticket costs $407.75.
UniTicket
Shuttle passes are available as add-ons to weekly and monthly Metro-North tickets for $11.25 and $33 respectively. They cannot be bought separately from a rail ticket. A combined bus and rail ticket to Grand Central is $440.75 monthly or $156.25 weekly.
These combined UniTickets are only sold at ticket machines and ticket offices. They are not available on the TrainTime app.
Holiday service
The New Fairfield-Southeast Shuttle will not run on:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Presidents Day, the shuttle will run on a special schedule, which will be posted on the HARTransit website. Metro-North trains will run on a Saturday schedule, with additional trains during the morning and evening rush hours.
Guaranteed Ride Program
Monthly UniTicket holders are eligible for the NYSDOT-sponsored 511NY Guaranteed Ride Program. This program allows you to take up to $600 a year in local cab, rideshare (Uber or Lyft), carpool, or transit trips when your regularly scheduled connecting service isn't available.
