“The NYPD’s targeted patrols at end-of-line stations demonstrated again their value early today when an alert officer recognized a person wanted for robbing a subway rider and arrested her.  Additional overnight policing by both the NYPD and MTAPD, combined with cameras in every station, means those who prey on transit riders can expect to be caught and face justice.”

On background

On July 6, 2022 at 2:09 a.m. at 34 Street-Hudson Yards station on the 7 line an NYPD officer arrested a woman whose picture had been taken at Times Square 7 line station June 29, 2022 following a grand larceny there. That picture was on a wanted flyer distributed to Transit Bureau officers. The suspect was wearing the same clothing as in the picture when arrested today one stop away from the incident location.
