Extra “Yankee Clipper Trains to the Game” will Run Before and After Games on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines
Metro-North Trains will Run at the Same Time Friday and Saturday With Earlier Service on Sunday
Fans Can Also Get to the Games via Subway, Bus and Paratransit
One of the most heated rivalries in sports returns to Yankee Stadium this weekend, and Metro-North Railroad is marking the series by adding service to ensure fans can cheer on the Bronx Bombers as they take on the Boston Red Sox with night games at 7:05 p.m. Friday and 7:15 p.m. Saturday, and an afternoon game at 1:35 p.m. Sunday. Extra trains to deliver fans will run on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines, and regularly scheduled Hudson Line trains will make extra stops at Yankees-E 153rd St.
“If you want to get to Yankee Stadium quickly and comfortably, there’s no better way to go than Metro-North,” said Catherine Rinaldi, Metro-North President and Long Island Rail Road Interim President. “Metro-North is adding extra service to ensure that all fans make it for the first pitch and can be there to cheer on their team for what I’m sure will be some of the most exciting games of the season. Go Yankees!”
“All New York fans can debate what’s better the , or train but something that’s beyond a doubt is that mass transit is the best way to get to the Yankees – Red Sox series this weekend,” said NYCT President Richard Davey. “The only score that matters to me is how many fans take the bus, paratransit or the train to the game.”
Metro-North
On Friday and Saturday evening, eight southbound Hudson Line trains make extra stops at Yankee Stadium to bring fans to the game. On the Harlem Line, a Yankee Clipper train directly to the stadium departs Southeast at 4:26 pm, stops at Brewster, Golden’s Bridge, Mt Kisco, Chappaqua, North White Plains, White Plains Hartsdale, Scarsdale, Crestwood and Bronxville, arriving at the Stadium at 5:49 pm. On the New Haven Line, a Yankee Clipper train directly to the stadium departs New Haven at 4:07 pm, stops at West Haven, Milford, Stratford, Bridgeport, Fairfield Metro, Fairfield, Westport, South Norwalk, Darien, Noroton Heights, Stamford, Greenwich, Rye, Larchmont and New Rochelle, arriving at the Stadium at 6:08 pm. Harlem and New Haven Line trains also connect at Harlem-125th Street Station with extra Shuttle trains and Hudson Line trains to Yankee Stadium. After the games, there are Yankee Clipper trains home on all three lines, as well as the connection at Harlem-125th Street station with all Harlem and New Haven Line scheduled trains.
For Sunday’s afternoon game, there are Yankee Clipper trains directly to and from the Stadium on all three lines, as well as additional Hudson Line trains stopping at the Stadium and extra Shuttle trains between GCT and Yankees-E 153rd St station that provide easy transfers at Harlem-125th Street station with Harlem and New Haven Line trains.

New York City Subway
For this weekend’s series, customers can take the or train to the 161 St-Yankee Stadium station.
The subway’s 161 St-Yankee Stadium station, with service on the , and lines, is right in front of the stadium at the corner of 161st Street and River Avenue. Local trains and trains stop at 161 St-Yankee Stadium at all times. trains stop at 161 St-Yankee Stadium during rush hour only.
New York City Buses
The Bx6, Bx6 SBS, Bx13 stop right in front of the stadium at E. 161st Street and River Avenue. In addition, the Bx1 and Bx2 both stop at E. 161st Street and the Grand Concourse, a three-block walk to the stadium.
Customers can use the real-time bus ridership tracking feature on the MYmta app before boarding.
