399 Total Speakers Have Addressed MTA Leaders and Board Members
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) on Monday evening, March 4, held its final of public hearing on the proposed congestion pricing toll schedule, hearing from 124 speakers in just over five hours of testimony. Including 275 speakers from the first three hearings, 399 speakers addressed MTA leaders and board members about congestion pricing.
Each speaker was given up to two minutes to address a panel of MTA leaders and board members including: MTA Chair and CEO Janno Lieber; MTA General Counsel Paige Graves; MTA Chief Customer Officer and Senior Advisor Shanifah Rieara; MTA Chief, Policy and External Relations John J. McCarthy; Deputy Chief, Policy and External Relations Juliette Michaelson; Deputy Chief Financial Officer Jai Patel; MTA Board Members Samuel Chu and Lisa Sorin.
The public still has an opportunity to comment on congestion pricing through Monday, March 11, 2024. Members of the public may submit written comments online and by email, mail and fax, and may submit audio comments by leaving a voicemail message. All comments will be recorded and submitted for review.
