MTA Announces Buses Substitute for Trains on Pascack Valley Line on Saturday, Feb. 5

Express Buses Operate Between Metro-North Stations 
 

MTA Metro-North Railroad today announced that buses will substitute for Pascack Valley Line trains this Saturday, Feb. 5, as crews from NJ TRANSIT lay rail alongside the tracks in preparation for rail-replacement work later in the spring.

Service Alternatives

Buses will operate between all Pascack Valley Line stations and Secaucus Junction, where passengers can transfer to trains to/from Penn Station New York and Hoboken.

There will be express bus service between Spring Valley, Nanuet, Pearl River and Secaucus Junction for most of the service day on Saturday, with local buses after 9 p.m.

Eastbound to Secaucus Junction

Buses will substitute for trains starting with the 5:15 a.m. departure from Spring Valley.

The final substitute bus to operate departs Spring Valley at 8:24 p.m.

Westbound from Secaucus Junction

The first substitute bus from Secaucus to Spring Valley departs Secaucus Junction at 8:37 a.m.

The final substitute bus to operate departs Secaucus Junction at 11:41 p.m. The last train on Saturday night, the 12:45 a.m. departure from Hoboken, with a connection from Penn Station New York at 12:34 a.m., will operate as normally scheduled.

To avoid busing and delays, Metro North customers with tickets to/from Pearl River, Nanuet and Spring Valley can use the Hudson Line at no extra charge, which will operate on a normal weekend schedule.
