MTA Bridges and Tunnels is advising motorists that the Henry Hudson Bridge will be closed to all northbound traffic this Sunday, Oct. 1, from 4:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m., to accommodate the annual city-permitted New York City Triathlon, where approximately 1,800 athletes will participate in a three-part race consisting of swimming, cycling, and running.

Beginning at 4:30 a.m., the NYPD will close the upper level of the Henry Hudson Parkway and all entrances and exits from W. 56 Street in Manhattan through Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx, shutting down all northbound traffic on the bridge

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route during this period and expect delays. The Henry Hudson Bridge’s lower level, which carries southbound traffic into Manhattan, will remain open throughout the event.

Customers can sign up for MTA e-mail or text alerts at www.mymtaalerts.com for more information.
