New York State Lobbying Law of 2005
Chapter 1 of the Laws of 2005, as amended by Chapter 596 of the Laws of 2005 (collectively referred to as the "Lobbying Law"), makes major changes to the Legislative Law and State Finance Law, which regulate lobbying on government procurements. It creates two new sections in the State Finance Law that restrict contacts, require disclosure of certain contacts, and address the responsibility of bidders and proposers, during the procurement process. These sections are effective as of January 1, 2006.
COMPLIANCE WITH NEW YORK STATE'S STATE FINANCE LAW SECTIONS 139-j AND 139-k, is made part of all solicitation packages in compliance with the Lobbying Law. This advertisement is a public notice that the MTA Long Island Railroad (LIRR), is seeking the services of a Design/Build 3rd Party Contractor (DB) to generate design and demolition plans needed for the partial demolition of a LIRR-owned section of an existing building occupied by Alphapointe Inc. The building is located at the corner of 89th Avenue and 123rd Street in Richmond Hill Queens, New York. The overall objective of this effort is to perform the necessary State-Of-Good-Repair activities needed to remove the LIRR section of the building while leaving the rest of the building intact and unharmed. Construction activities shall make use of modern methods and advanced construction techniques to minimize any possible interruptions of business operations within the Alphapointe Building.
