New traffic pattern and 24/7 Upper Level lane closure – One lane on the Upper Level will be closed long-term to accommodate roadway deck replacement. Use of a moveable barrier will enable full normal traffic lane capacity in the peak travel direction for AM and PM rush hours.
- Weekday mornings: 4 Upper Level lanes (including HOV) to Brooklyn; 2 Upper Level lanes to Staten Island.
- Weekday afternoons: 4 Upper Level lanes (including HOV) to Staten Island; 2 Upper Level lanes to Brooklyn.
Additional off-peak and overnight lane closures will be required. Motorists should expect minimal delays.
