Breakneck Ridge station reopens Saturday, May 28

The station, near plenty of great Hudson Valley hiking trails, will reopen after getting safety upgrades.
Updated May 27, 2022 10:26 a.m.

Starting Saturday, May 28, 2022, Metro-North is restoring weekend and holiday service to and from Breakneck Ridge. There will be six northbound trains in the morning and five southbound trains in the evening stopping at the station.

The station was closed while we made safety enhancements. Those include a new pathway that diverts hikers from the shoulder of Route 9D and provides a safe path of travel between the northbound and southbound platforms. We have also installed a safety fence separating pedestrians from the railroad tracks, anti-trespass panels around the train platforms, and temporary wayfinding signage to assist visitors in easily accessing the hiking trails.

Plan your trip using our TrainTime app or our Schedules and Fares tool.

Thank you for your patience while we made safety enhancements. Happy (hiking) trails to you!
