Montauk Branch Service Change Notice
From Tuesday-Thursday, June 1-3 and June 8-10, 2021, buses will substitute for some morning and midday trains between Babylon and Patchogue/Speonk as a track-testing program to ensure rail safety is performed.
This service change will also affect some trains operating between Babylon and Montauk; notably, the 8:11 AM eastbound connecting train from Jamaica to Babylon for service to Montauk will depart 2 minutes earlier, at 8:09 AM, and the 11:18 AM westbound train from Montauk will depart 14 minutes later, at 11:32 AM; transfer at Babylon for service to points west.
In addition, the 7:47 AM train from Penn Station to Babylon will depart Woodside 1 minute earlier, at 7:59 AM, and Jamaica two minutes earlier, at 8:09 AM. This train also provides connecting service from Woodside to the 8:17 AM train from Jamaica to Port Jefferson.
